Cubist style house for a sloping site
A split level, 4-bedroom, timber framed self build home
This is one of two versions of the Svartvikka, designed for a sloping location, where the entrance from the street may be at a higher level compared with the rear. This type of construction is quite common in Britain’s hilly locations and where a modernist style is desired, this home would be ideal.
In the O version of the house, the main entrance and garage are at the upper level, where the main living areas are located as usual. These comprise open plan kitchen, dining and living rooms WC/shower room, store room and a double bedroom. In this home, the staircase goes downstairs to the lower level.
At this level, there are three bedrooms and the main family bathroom with optional sauna, two store/cloakrooms and the utility room.
