Meet the Team
David Gittins – Technical Director
Dave started his working life as a qualified engineer, but gave up engineering in 2005 when he got the chance to sell log homes and log cabins. He’s very attached to his historic house and garden, although neither really get the attention they deserve as he’s too busy building houses for other people, and he’s completely under the paw of our office cat. He finds it incredibly rewarding to build our clients’ dream homes for them, and he tell us he’s enormously proud of what our team does – we’re proud of him too!
Teresa Jones – Director
When Teresa was a teenager she loved designing houses and had ambitions to be an architect, but once she realised that she wasn’t very good at drawing ended up in a career in and around IT. After 10 years as a Research Analyst with a global consulting company, she finally realised that what she loves best is helping clients fulfill their dreams of building their own homes. So she threw in the IT towel, and now runs most of the administration of the business when she’s not dealing with customers.
Lyn Morton – Business Development and Social Media
Lyn has worked in the Construction Industry for over 25 years, working with Civil Engineers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Business Consultants, and Health and Safety Consultants. She is in charge of our website and social media accounts, and also responds to customer queries. She gets involved with behind the scenes admin, attends shows with us, and is occasionally official photographer and fetcher of tea on site at builds. She’s mad about cats and dogs, mostly drinks coffee, and has a slightly unruly sense of humour.
Martin Adamson – Project Manager
Martin has had an interesting and varied career, working in both the private and public sectors. This included being a digital photography pioneer as head of photography at Nestle UK, working on highly technical and creative briefs from across Europe. He went on to run his own highly successful photographic and digital image manipulation company.
After turning his creative streak to researching, developing and building his own energy-efficient family home, he became an expert in ‘green’ construction technologies. This led to a role as Manager of the Think Low Carbon Centre, Barnsley which through European Funding, show-cased all the developing green energy technologies, and worked with national bodies (i.e. BRE) and SMEs to disseminate this knowledge and promote up-skilling within the construction industry. Martin’s unique knowledge, coupled with his project management skills, led him to become a Consultant in this field and he has worked tirelessly for an innovative approach to bring cost-effective, energy-efficient housing to the market, supported by Homes England.
Martin is our go-to-guy for a variety of skills including partnership working, creative solutions, project management and problem solving. And he takes great pictures of our house builds, too!
